DESCRIPTION:
French, 8-day time/strike 4-column Empire style mantel clock in an ebonized case with gilt bronze mounts and pendulum, C. 1860
CONDITION:
Ebonized case in fairly good condition with a shrink crack on the base and a little damage at the right top corner molding. A small piece of veneer is missing on the top back corner. There is evidence this case a small turned feet now missing. Original dial fading and wear to the numbers. Hands are original. Pendulum has some surface rust on the steelwork. Ht. 17.5".
